Yashica Partner AF-D 35mm film camera w/ case (5235485)

The Yashica Partner AF-D is a simple, compact autofocus point-and-shoot from the 1980s featuring a sharp 4-element 35mm f3.5 lens. 

This is the version with an optional date imprinting option. The calendar only goes to 2019 so we didn't fit a battery. Should you wish to use this feature, it requires a CR2025 lithium coin battery. 

Battery information

This camera requires two alkaline AA batteries (not included). Rechargeable batteries cannot be used. 

Battery precautions from the manual (these are applicable to many cameras):

• If you are not likely to use the camera for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent possible damage by battery leakage.
•  Generally, low temperatures will reduce the battery performance. If you are shooting in cold weather, warm the batteries in your pocket, for ex-ample, and always keep spare batteries on hand.
• Wipe both ends of the batteries clean before loading them. Soiled battery contacts may cause poor electrical contact.

Condition Notes

The overall cosmetic condition is good except for some wear on the camera body from use (see photos). The camera is working very well. In our testing we found that the camera would overexpose by about one stop when in the ISO 400 setting in full sun equivalent lighting situations (EV16 @ ISO 100); this is normal and within the camera's specifications but you might consider the use of ISO 100 or ISO 200 film for photography in very bright settings (eg sunny days on the beach or ski hills). The original case is included.
