Samsung Maxima Elite 140 QD 35mm camera (serial 92510566)

The Samsung Maxima Elite 140 (also called the Fino 140 Super) is very compact 35mm point-and-shoot that somehow packs a 38-140mm zoom into a pocketable design. The slight catch is that the lens is relatively slow (F4.7 at the wide end and F12.5 at telephoto) so ISO 400 film or faster is advisable if you plan on using it in lower light situations. Overall, it's a well-designed zoom point-and-shoot with simple, logical controls (we especially like the mode dial).

This camera includes an optional date imprinting feature. The calendar goes until December 31st 2049.

Condition Notes

This camera was tested with batteries and a roll of film (the film was not developed). All modes are working correctly. The cameras true film-plane focus accuracy was verified on an auto-collimator; we also verified the camera's auto exposure using a calibrated light source. The camera is in good cosmetic condition (see photos).
