It's a simple, sturdy, and relatively compact 35mm SLR. It uses the same M42 mount as Pentax Spotmatics (and many other SLRs) so it's compatible with a wide range of lenses. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis particular camera was made by KMZ in Krasnogorsk (these reportedly have better build quality than those made BelOMO in Minsk). \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe included Helios-44M 58mm f2 is a sharp 6-element lens. The Helios 44M has a cult following for its interesting bokeh (out of focus area rendering).
