The camera is working very well. In our testing we found that the camera would overexpose by about one stop when in the ISO 400 setting in full sun equivalent lighting situations (EV16 @ ISO 100); this is normal and within the camera's specifications but you might consider the use of ISO 100 or ISO 200 film for photography in very bright settings (eg sunny days on the beach or ski hills).
